On the 12th of March, Dr. Jorge García Cañadas was invited to give a talk to the 3rd year students of the Chemistry degree at Universitat de València. In his talk, he showed different energy devices and how electrochemical phenomena is involved within them. He also showed experiments demonstrating the conversion of heat into electricity by thermoelectric devices and the change in colour in electrochromic displays.
His talk was organised by the Chemistry Faculty of Universitat de València and the Sección Territorial de Valencia de la Real Sociedad Española de Química, and it was part of the Frontiers of Chemistry lecture series. We thank Dr. Mario Culebras and Dr. Lourdes Gracia for their kind invitation.
